Mangaweka
Mangaweka Bridge Opening
Saturday, March 7, 2015 (All day)

The first post for the Mangaweka Bridge Opening and Pioneer Day. No there isn't a new bridge at Mangaweka, its just that the postponement date has finally been set for the official opening of the Mangaweka Bridge... (the first was postponed in September 1904 as the weather was a bit dodgy). So we are taking a gamble that the weather be great this time, it doesn't matter if it isn't because its happening anyway! and committing to a date MARCH 7TH 2015. Mark it in your diary, get dressed up in your best three-days-in-to-town-by-horse-and-still-crisp duds and party like its 1904.
